The 2002 is the most professional Squale diving watch, capable of guaranteeing water resistance up to 1000 meters deep. Over the years, the traditional case has evolved but has never changed and is still the most appreciated by sea lovers, looking for increasingly technical products. From the 1970s, when Jacques Mayol and Enzo Maiorca set world records with the first 2002 models on their wrists, to 2016, when Squale became the official supplier of the Italian State Police Diving Unit, the history of the 2002 watch has always been characterized by important collaborations with various sports professionals during their underwater adventures. The case from the 2002 collection is equipped with a helium valve, a feature that cannot be found in the other models of the same collection made in the 1970s. This technical improvement was implemented in order to give greater safety to professional divers who make the watch a real work tool.
